The Howick Library reopened it's doors yesterday, 2 November, and we’re so pleased to welcome our community back to this much-loved local space.
A big thank you to all the teams who worked on the refurbishments, the team at Howick War Memorial Hall for hosting our temporary pop-up library over the past several months, and the key community stakeholders who supported the project along the way. Special mihi to O Wairoa Marae for the wonderful Karakia (blessing) and the hikoi circuit through the library.
And to our library staff, thank you for keeping the community informed throughout the closure. We know you’ll be looking forward to welcoming everyone back through the doors.
