Good news for Tarnica Playground!

The Howick Local Board is undertaking a minor refurbishment for the playground at Tarnica Reserve, Northpark in Botany.

Installing new play features:

  • new swing set

  • new rope climbing net

  • new Pot Shot Goal Module

Replacement of broken play features:

  • timber and fixtures on the timber and chain scaling wall (like-for-like)

  • wobbly bridge (chains and timber slats) on a like-for-like basis

  • roof on the playground module roof

Repairing or replacing damaged parts:

  • corroded fixtures and poles

  • existing timber decking

  • cleaning, treating for rust, sanding, priming, and repainting all playground poles, steel barriers, ladders, and activity elements (including the seesaw)

Works start today, Monday 4 May and will take approximately 4 weeks (weather dependent)
