Ti Rākau Drive road changes from 13 February

Between William Roberts Road and Gossamer Drive, new stormwater pipes will be installed to help prevent flooding. The project involves installing larger, higher-capacity stormwater pipes and rebuilding the road surface. Watercare will also be upgrading the watermain in this area.

During construction, eastbound traffic (towards Botany) will be temporarily redirected onto the new central busway lanes. There will be a switchover this weekend in two stages (see images for details).

  • Stage 1: Friday 13 Feb 10pm - Sat 14 Feb 6am: single lanes in both east and westbound on Ti Rākau Drive between William Roberts Road and Gossamer Drive with stop/go controls in place.

  • Stage 2: Saturday 14 Feb 6am - Sunday 15 Feb: single lanes in both east and westbound on Ti Rākau Drive between Edgewater Drive.

  • Stage 3: Sunday 15 Feb until late 2026: double lanes open in both directions, with eastbound traffic (towards Botany) in the new centre lanes (future busway).

Chevis Place: Residents only, with left turns out maintained

Marriott Road: Resident access only at times; closed during work with sign posted detours

Driveways: Daytime restrictions where work is occurring, reinstated overnight where possible; temporary car parking available

Pedestrians: Footpaths and crossings remain open with temporary changes and signage

Eastern Busway is hosting a Community Pop-in event on Wednesday 11 February 4-6:30pm at the corner of Edgewater Drive and Ti Rākau Drive (near the shops).
