Submission: ‘Move On’ Orders
We’ve all seen the increase in begging, homelessness, and rough sleeping. The causes of these issues are complex and I will always support a housing first approach.
Here is my submission, where I strongly oppose it on the basis that the approach taken wasn’t necessary and it breaches the NZ Bill of Rights.

While most New Zealanders are struggling to cope with the cost of living, some of our politicians have decided now is a time to be defining a man and woman in legislation.
There is no problem to be solved, and the solution is poorly worded, legally confusing, and bigoted. Below is my submission in which I strongly oppose the Bill.

Illegal dumping is a blight on neighbourhoods and communities. Unfortunately it's a shame that some people think it's okay to leave their trash for others to deal with.

Plan Change 120 - housing intensification
The Government has changed the target for housing intensification in Auckland again and the Governing Body (Mayor and Councillors) have been meeting to work through the potential options for how to respond to this new target.

On Saturday evening I attended an event to acknowledge 147 years of Fiji Girmit, organised by the Fiji Girmit Foundation NZ.

On Saturday, I attended the Dragon Boat Festival hosted by Botany Chinese Association, along with Howick Local Board Acting-Chair Kai Zeng, and colleagues from neighbouring Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board.
